Sisters of the Holy Cross
The Sisters of the Holy Cross arrived in Niagara in the summer of 1984. They came primarily to work in schools with the priests of the Holy Cross. Two sisters ministered at Denis Morris Catholic High School, St. Catharines; one at Notre Dame College School, Welland; and one at Saint Paul Catholic High School, Niagara Falls.
The brothers joined a year later.
It was the vision of founder, Venerable Basil Moreau, founder of the congregation of Holy Cross, that the three branches, priests, brothers and sisters would work together in whatever part of the world to which they were sent.
