Celebrating Young Artists at Niagara Catholic and Brock University

Niagara Catholic held its annual Young Artists Gallery June 6, a celebration of a variety of styles of artwork by more than 100 students from our eight Catholic high schools.

For the second year, the show took place at Brock University’s Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts in downtown St. Catharines, and the artwork will be on display in the gallery there until the end of the month.

The various pieces were adjudicated by Brock University staff, including Shawn Serfas and Amy Friend from Brock’s Visual Arts faculty, and was displayed by Preparator Lauren Regier.

Thank you to the many staff who helped students as they prepared for this Gallery and the staff, administrators, family and friends who supported the students. Thank you also to Mayor Walter Sendzik for his kind remarks, to the staff from Brock for their time and talentsand to the musicians from Saint Paul Catholic High School for their outstanding performance.
