Grade 7 Students Learn Lifesaving Skills

Niagara Catholic is currently in the process of placing Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs) in our schools and sites, through a partnership with Heart Niagara. As a part of this partnership, Grade 7 students throughout the Board receive CPR and AED certification.  Last week, members of Niagara Emergency Medical Services (EMS) paid a visit to  Loretto Catholic Elementary School to watch Heart Niagara staff train Grade 7 students. Director of Education John Crocco stopped by the school to watch the students receive their training, and also to met with Niagara EMS Chief Kevin Smith to discuss the advantages of having Automatic External Defibrillators in all schools and sites. Thank you to Cogeco for attending this event, and providing such great coverage.
