The highly anticipated commemorative book chronicling the history of Catholic education in Niagara was officially launched at the June 11th, 2009 Niagara Catholic Annual Leadership Symposium by Director of Education John Crocco.
Catholic Education: A gift from the past … A present for the future 1842-2007 was co-authored by Peter W. Ferren and Donald J. Lefebvre, both of whom have historical ties to Niagara Catholic and Catholic education in the Province of Ontario.
The book will be used as a resource in the program delivery of the new units of study on the History of Catholic Education in Niagara which will be taught annually to all Grade 7 and Grade 10 students across Niagara Catholic beginning in September 2009.
