STATEMENT OF POLICY
The Niagara Catholic District School Board recognizes the need for Employees
to keep up to date with all aspects of the board’s operations.
All employees are encouraged to attend appropriate conferences, workshops
and meetings, in order to fulfill the mandates inherent in their roles
and in order to carry out the business of the Board.
All employees shall keep track of legitimate expenses incurred in carrying
out their responsibilities, in order to ensure that the expense are properly
reimbursed and/or properly processed for payment.
All employees shall submit for reimbursement and/or for payment all
legitimate expenses incurred while attending conferences, workshops and
networking activities, using the appropriate forms and following the
related administrative guidelines.
All claims for reimbursement of expenses relating to Conference, Workshops
and Meetings require the authorization of the immediate supervisor. Expense
claimed by the Director of Education shall require the approval of the
Chairperson of the Board.
The Director of Education shall develop the appropriate Administrative
Guidelines in support of this policy.
