STATEMENT OF POLICY
The Niagara Catholic District School Board has the responsibility to provide a safe and secure working and learning environment for students and employees. The Board is in a position of trust and must strive to protect the well being of students. The Niagara Catholic District School Board shall implement the requirements for the collection of personal information as described in Regulation 521/01 of the Education Act. The Board shall not employ or continue to employ persons who have a criminal record, which demonstrate an unacceptable level of risk to students.
The Director of Education will establish administrative guidelines and procedures for the implementation of this policy.
