Korean Students Take In Winterlude

The 62 Korean students currently studying in Niagara Catholic schools aren’t getting much of a Canadian winter experience here, so they travelled to Ottawa where snow covers the ground and there’s lots to do outside.

This past weekend, the students travelled to the national capital to enjoy the Winterlude Winter Festival, and by all accounts, they had an incredible time enjoying some traditional Canadian outdoor winter activities while they were there. Niagara Catholic has a strong International Student program, and regularly brings students to Niagara from places around the world, such as Korea and South and Central America.

Host families are always needed. If you are interested in enriching the life of an international student – or enriching yourself or your family – as a host parent or family please contact Fred Wilson, Supervisor of International Education, at 905.682.3360 ext. 204.
