Niagara Catholic Shows Support for Humboldt

Throughout the week, the Niagara Catholic community has been showing its support for the community of Humboldt Saskatchewan in a number of ways, including prayers and flying flags at half-staff in honour of those killed in the bus crash April 6.

On April 12, Niagara Catholic joined schools, municipalities, government agencies and offices throughout Canada – and many places around the world – in participating in Jerseys for Humboldt. From the Catholic Education Centre staff, to our ESL and Continuing Education Learning Centres to our elementary and secondary schools, there was lots of love for the tiny Saskatchewan community. Schools were a sea of green and gold and sports jerseys as we supported this very important initiative to show the survivors of the crash and loved ones of those who did not survive, that Canada supports them in their time of grief.
