Faith Development/Social Justice

Social justice is an important part of life in all of our Niagara Catholic secondary schools. The Annual Pilgrimage, which raises funds for a variety of projects in the developing world, takes place each October.

Many Catholic secondary schools offer students the opportunity to visit the developing world for a short-term stay on a Mission trip, where they experience first-hand the way in which people living there are assisted by the work of students at home.

Students and staff also support their local communities through food, toy and clothing drives and other events throughout the year.

Co-curricular Activities

Students in Niagara Catholic secondary schools have many opportunities to explore their unique gifts and talents and enrich their academic experience through co-curricular activities. Whether you are interested in advanced academics, athletics, the arts, technology or social justice, there are many different ways for you to enhance your current interests and discover new ones. Each of our Catholic secondary school websites provides information about the co-curricular programs offered to students each year.

Niagara Catholic offers unique programs in our area, including a Specialist High Skills Major in horticulture, in partnership with the Niagara Parks Commission’s School of Horticulture, and Hospitality and Tourism – the only one of its type in Canada – where students attend class in an operating hotel.

International Co-operative Experience Program
