Scenes from Dominica

In late September, 12 students from Niagara Catholic secondary schools in Welland, Niagara Falls, Port Colborne and St. Catharines, under the guidance of teachers Jason and Amber Benoit, travelled to the Caribbean island of Dominica for a three-month Co-op experience that will change their lives.

Now in its third year, the Niagara Catholic International Co-operative Experience Program provides secondary students with the unique opportunity to live and work in a developing nation while earning credits. While in Dominica, the students will receive four co-operative education credits and three academic credits toward their Secondary School Graduation Diploma.

We have received some photos from their experience in Dominica, and are pleased to share several of them with the Niagara Catholic family.
