The Official Blessing and Opening of the Additions and Renovations to Lakeshore Catholic High School

The Official Blessing of the $5.5-million Addition and Renovation of Lakeshore Catholic High School took place on October 29. The event was a dynamic celebration that brought together the past, present and future of Lakeshore Catholic.

The evening was filled with music, from O’Canada performed by students from St. George Catholic Elementary School and musical interludes from students at St. John Bosco, St. Patrick and St. Therese Catholic elementary schools, to the music ministry by the Lakeshore Catholic choir and entertainment by the Lakeshore Catholic High School Jazz Ensemble.

Thank you to all who contributed to the evening, including Port Colborne Mayor John Maloney, Fort Erie Town Councillor Kim Zanko, Catholic School Council Chair Dean Demizio, Dennis Hernandez from the Lakeshore High School Class of 1998, and Rhys Kimber, Lakeshore Catholic Class of 2026. Special thanks to the Culinary Arts students who prepared outstanding treats for after the celebration, and to Father Peter Walton and Bishop Bergie sharing the Liturgy of the Word.
