Niagara Catholic held its first-ever family wellness event, FamJam4Wellness, on May 2 at Saint Michael Catholic High School, in co-operation with Niagara’s EarlyOn Centres.
The free event included a free dinner, a book giveaway to youngsters, the opportunity for parents, caregivers and guardians to speak with community partners and agencies and a keynote address by special guest Dr. Jean Clinton, who specializes in the relationship between relationships and connectedness and brain development in children.
There were also a number of workshops for parents and guardians to participate in, and free childcare and games for the youngsters in attendance.
The evening concluded with an Indigenous Drumming Circle, and prize giveaways. Thank you to everyone who participated in the event, and to our many community partners who made the evening so engaging for all who attended.
