The Niagara Catholic District School Board was established when the Lincoln Country Roman Catholic Separate School Board and Welland County Roman Catholic Separate School Board merged on January 1, 1998. But our history goes back much farther than that – to when the first Catholic school opened in St. Catharines more than 160 years ago.
Niagara Catholic serves families from Grimsby to Fort Erie. Catholic high school students in Dunnville – part of our neighbouring Catholic District School Board in Brant-Haldimand – attend Lakeshore Catholic High School.
More than 21,000 students attend school in one of our 48 Catholic elementary schools and eight Catholic secondary schools. We also offer alternative learning to students through our Pope Francis Centre and Saint Kateri School.
