Elementary

Students attend elementary school from kindergarten through Grade 8. Their formal education begins in Grade 1.

Niagara Catholic students learn core subjects such as math, reading, art, and physical education from Grades 1-8. French as a core subject is introduced in Grade 4. Families who want their children to learn French earlier can enroll their children in French Immersion at one of our French Immersion schools beginning in kindergarten.

Activities such as choir, robotics, rosary circles, and eco-clubs are open to all students. Beginning in Grade 5, students can try out for school sports teams. Junior and intermediate students develop leadership skills by helping create Masses, liturgies, and assemblies for younger students. Schools have student councils and students are encouraged to participate if they are interested. Elementary students may also join our Elementary Student Senate.
