We live in complicated times, where we are often overwhelmed by the stress and negativity of the outside world. Sometimes, this spills into our day-to-day life and impacts people around us.
Most often, it is unintentional. We get lost in the moment and regret our words or actions.
The Golden Rule is there to guide us. Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you. Treat others with the same empathy and compassion that you expect to receive. Pope Francis, named for St. Francis of Assisi who prayed to God to be an instrument of His peace, uses it often when speaking on conflict.
Its power is in its simplicity.
Staff in our schools are there to support your child as they learn and grow. From time-to-time, parents/guardians may have questions or concerns that lead to conflict.
All Niagara Catholic staff have the right to work in an environment free from harassment or abuse. Shouting, profanity, or any other form of aggression – whether it is on the phone, in writing (electronic or on paper), or in person – will not be tolerated.
