Collection and Use of Information

The Niagara Catholic District School Board recognizes the importance of ensuring a privacy sensitive culture.

The Board collects personal information to support student education and staff employment. Personal information is only used for the purpose for which it was collected except with the consent of the individual or as required by law.

Individuals with access to information, on any media or platform must keep the personal, confidential and sensitive information entrusted to them safe.

Niagara Catholic communicates with families using the School Messenger program. This includes contacting families by phone, text, or email. When you sign up to receive these messages, you recognize you may receive calls or emails from your child's school or the board about events happening at the school, board or parish level, through the Diocese of St. Catharines, or events and programs offered by the Niagara Foundation for Catholic Education. These communications may occasionally involve events of a commercial nature, such as activities with an entry fee.

Families who do not wish to receive these messages may opt out. Families may not opt out of attendance calls through Safe Arrival, or emergency messaging.
