Niagara Catholic Technology Skills Competition

Niagara Catholic's Technology Skills Competition is an annual event that allows students in specialized technology programs to compete against students from across eight Niagara Catholic secondary schools, in over 30 sectors, with the opportunity to progress to provincial and national competitions.

Within the competition, students compete in industry-related projects, following skills Ontario scopes, and adhering to industry regulations. Challenges are judged by industry partners, who provide students with guidance and feedback as they are competing.

Students who achieve a gold medal in each sector of the competition may have the chance to move on to Skills Ontario, which is held at the Toronto Congress Centre in the spring. Gold medalists of the provincial competition may have an opportunity to move on to the Skills Canada National Competition.

For over 20 years, Niagara Catholic has hosted this event with the help of our dedicated teachers, industry mentors, and community partners. Niagara Catholic continues to provide students with cutting-edge learning spaces, industry-related certifications, and hands-on learning via cooperative education placements, in support of workplace, college, apprenticeship, and university pathways.
