Viktoria Cubelic, a Grade 8 student at Mother Teresa Catholic Elementary School in St. Catharines, has scored a perfect 150 on the University of Waterloo’s Gauss Mathematics Test. Viktoria participated in the test last week and is the first student at the school to achieve a perfect score.

She is also one of four members of the school’s Mathletes Team, which will represent Southern Ontario at the Provincial Math Olympics Championships at Carleton University in Ottawa on June 5. The Mother Teresa Mathletes earned their berth in the competition after finishing atop more than 50 schools at the Southern Ontario Math Olympics Competition in April.Release – Mother Teresa Student Scores Perfect 150 on Gauss Mathematics Test

Viktoria will be joined in Ottawa by team-mates Enrico Rescigno, Sam Nolan and Rachel Wing, under the guidance of teacher Sean Perdue.
“Congratulations to Viktoria for scoring a perfect 150 on the Gauss Mathematics Test,” said Niagara Catholic Director of Education, John Crocco. “A perfect score is highly commendable and the result of focused preparation practice and knowledge. I commend Viktoria, and her teacher, for working so hard to achieve this outstanding result. I wish her and the rest of the Mother Teresa Catholic Elementary School Mathletes Team well as they travel to Ottawa to compete this weekend. We know they will represent Mother Teresa, Niagara Catholic and Southern Ontario proudly.”
