Grade 8 students at Loretto Catholic Elementary School in Niagara Falls participated in a social justice initiative, creating clothes, food, books, toys and toiletries for Women’s Place Niagara.
Over two weeks they collected a variety of items, which will be used by Women’s Place of Niagara.
This was a valuable lesson for the students about the importance of giving back to the community. Kudos to the school’s CYW Kelly Gilliss, and Grade 8 teachers Jeff Moccia and Carrie Shellhorne, who led the Loretto Catholic Class of 2016 in the initiative. We’re sure the staff and families who are living at Women’s Place are grateful for your generosity.Good News
