Springtime is the perfect time to celebrate new creations in May and early June, Niagara Catholic celebrate our artists in a big way.
On May 13, Niagara Catholic held its annual Kindergarten Arts Show at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Elementary School. This event included work from all 48 Catholic elementary schools and was a huge draw for families excited to see the work created by our youngest students.
Earlier this spring, St. John Henry Newman Catholic Elementary School Vice-Principal Julie Hastings organized an art competition for elementary students in the Saint Paul Catholic High School family of schools. The theme of the competition was Resurrection and New Life, and the winners were announced at an art show St. John Henry Newman on May 20.
Congratulations to first place winner, Blaize Kamatovic from Mary Ward Catholic Elementary School, second place recipient Gabby Guerro Mareta from St. Mary Catholic Elementary School and third place recipient from Jacqui Howarth at St. John Henry Newman Catholic Elementary School.
Finally, on June 1, Niagara Catholic’s Young Artists Gallery was hosted at Heartland Forest in Niagara Falls, showcasing the talents of secondary students across Niagara Catholic. On June 2, the artists also participated in workshops with artists to help them continue to hone their already impressive skills.
