D&P Youth Assembly in Montreal

D&P Youth Assembly in Montreal
Posted on 02/06/2026

Last month, Development and Peace: Caritas Canada hosted its annual youth assembly in Montreal. Each year, youth representatives from across the country gather for team building and strategic planning for future youth initiatives.

This year, three members from the St. Catharines Diocesan youth leadership program were invited to participate: Precious Agbona from Saint Francis Catholic Secondary School, Nicole Castro from Saint Michael Catholic High School, and Marianna Manrique from Denis Morris Catholic High School. This was a fantastic opportunity for students to contribute to the planning process, meet other youth leaders from across the country, and deepen their understanding of the Catholic social teachings.

As representatives of Niagara Catholic, the students delivered the fundraising cheque from Niagara Catholic’s 50th Annual Pilgrimage to D&P Director of Public Engagement Luke Stocking, who joined the Notre Dame College School community for the pilgrimage in October.
