Trent Groulx made a triumphant return to the lineup Thursday night for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

The 18-year-old, Grade 12B student, who missed the last two games with an upper body injury and was also ejected from a game for unsportsmanlike conduct, scored a touchdown on a pick-six interception and also had two long kick returns as the Irish defeated the visiting Denis Morris Reds 53-8 in a Niagara Catholic Athletic Association senior boys football semifinal playoff game.

The Irish now take on the Blessed Trinity Thunder for the NCAA title. The game is tentatively scheduled for Thursday at 7 p.m. at Notre Dame.
