Yesterday, the holiday spirit was alive and well at St. Anthony Catholic Elementary School, as Merrittville Speedway and 97.7 CHTZ-FM came together to donate hundreds of toys to students. This heartwarming gesture was part of the annual Race to Holiday Cheer campaign, a community-driven initiative aimed at bringing joy to children across the Niagara Region. 

Each year, Merrittville Speedway partners with local businesses and media outlets to provide toys for students, and this holiday season was no exception. The campaign, which has become a beloved tradition, has grown in scope over the years. This year, the team at Merrittville Speedway was proud to extend their giving to five local schools, ensuring that children across the region experience the magic of Christmas. 

The event at St. Anthony was made even more special by the presence of the hosts from the Soper & Brown Show on 97.7 CHTZ-FM. The duo took time out of their busy schedules to hand out toys personally to every student in attendance, delivering gifts with smiles and festive cheer. As each child received their toy, the excitement and gratitude were evident, with the holiday spirit shining on the faces of both students and staff.
