Quinn Wilson had herself a day at the Southern Ontario Secondary Schools Association track and field meet Wednesday at Welland Centennial.

“I really wanted to focus on my drive phase in the 100 and I was also focusing on my snapdown (the quick and controlled landing of the lead leg after clearing the hurdle) in the hurdles and having a nice hard finish.”

Her expectations for her first high school season also aren’t related to results.

“I just wanted to have a good start with my high school career, run some personal bests which I definitely have done this year and I wanted to have a new challenge.”
