The Denis Morris Reds are looking forward to this weekend’s 49th Annual Ontario Catholic Classic Basketball Tournament.

“We are probably one of the more competitive teams that we have been able to field in the last few years at least and we are in the middle of the pack in the overall rankings in the tournament,” DM head coach Wade Pychel said. “It’s a pretty strong seeding for us this year considering we have won a few tournaments but that’s how deep the field is. In any given game, one of the lower seeds can upset one of the higher seeds and hopefully we are able to play our best basketball and prove that we were given that ranking for a reason.”

The Reds won the Standard and A.N. Myer tournaments and went unbeaten at the Niagara College tournament before the championship game was cancelled.
