Notre Dame’s Swiss Army knife was the dagger that ended the Blessed Trinity’s Thunder’s championship aspirations Thursday night in the Niagara Catholic Athletic Association senior football final at Notre Dame.
Notre Dame’s Jake-of-all-Trades, Jake Iannizzi, scored three rushing majors to bust open a close game and give the Irish a 28-2 win and their sixth straight NCAA crown.
Playing in wet and miserable conditions, the Irish took a 7-2 lead into the fourth quarter and put the game away with three straight majors and a defensive safety.
