Sixteen teams vie for Tribune title

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish senior boys basketball team will be looking to defend its championship when it opens the 69th Annual Welland Tribune Basketball Tournament Wednesday at 3 p.m. on its home court against the Port Colborne Blue Bears.

The 2025 consolation champion Lakeshore Catholic Gators open the tournament Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. at Centennial against the Greater Fort Erie Gryphons.

The tournament concludes Saturday at Notre Dame with the consolation final at 5:30 p.m. and the championship final at 7 p.m.
