Ethan Tardiff had a career night Wednesday for the Blessed Trinity Thunder senior football team in its 34-18 victory over the visiting Saint Francis Phoenix in the Niagara Catholic Athletic Association semifinals.

After recording four sacks in the game, the Grade 12 player was given the team’s player of the game chain afterwards while his teammates chanted his name.

“It feels great being around all the guys. It builds a good atmosphere and I couldn’t do it without them. If it wasn’t for them, I wouldn’t be where I am and I wouldn’t want to keep playing without those guys behind my back.”
