T.J. Woods made a successful debut in the senior category at the Niagara Catholic Athletic Association Zone 2 cross country meet Wednesday at Fireman’s Park in Niagara Falls
The 15-year-old, Grade 11 student at Denis Morris placed first in the senior boys race with a time of 19:36, 20 seconds ahead of fellow Reds runner Jose Gras.
“I mean, I raced two races already. This race I wanted I wanted to work on the end of my race, open up a bit slower and finish harder,” he said.
Woods, who races with EDGE Sport, said the longer course at the senior level is challenging.
