Niagara Catholic Students Earn Gold, Silver, Bronze at Skills Ontario

Eight Niagara Catholic students were recognized for their outstanding ability in a variety of technology skills during the Ontario Technological Skills Competition at the Toronto Congress Centre May 7 and 8.

Joseph Abbruscato from Saint Paul Catholic High School and Cody Crumb of Denis Morris Catholic High School each won Gold medals in their respective categories, Culinary Arts and Masonry. Joseph will travel to Edmonton to compete against students from across Canada at Skills Canada June 4-5.

Carson Kompon from Notre Dame College School won a Silver medal in Coding, and Bronze medals were awarded to Dera Campbell (Notre Dame College School, Aesthetics), Tyler Rocheleau (Notre Dame College School, Architectural Technology and Design), Jayne Inouye (Lakeshore Catholic High School, Baking), Mikayla Walsh (Notre Dame College School, Hairstyling) and Yaman Abuibaid (Denis Morris Catholic High School, Web Design and Development).

Congratulations to each of these very talented students. You represented yourselves, your schools and Niagara Catholic well during the two-day event.
