Niagara Catholic Wraps Up First School Year with The Power of Teamwork

In 2016, Niagara Catholic began working with members of the world-famous Team Canada ’72, creating a leadership program for staff and a program for students that focus on the incredible power of teamwork.

The first full season of The Power of Teamwork wrapped up at the pilot schools in June, and students enjoyed visits from Pat Stapleton, veteran NHL player and member of the team, to talk about how learning to work together as a team brings success for everyone.

One of his stops was at St. Joseph Catholic Elementary School in Grimsby. Thanks to the Fort Erie Observer for paying a visit to the school while Mr. Stapleton was there, to see the hockey legend interact with the students and staff.

We look forward to more schools participating in the 28:8, The Power of Teamwork program next year.
