November 2018

We begin November with All Saints’ Day on November 1, and All Souls’ Day November 2.

Also on November 2 we will celebrate Random Act of Kindness Day in Niagara. This year, some of our schools and the Catholic Education Centre will support Socks for Change to provide warm socks for people living in poverty or on the street in Niagara.

Remembrance Day is a Sunday this year, so students will honour those who gave their lives in Canada’s wars and all those who served in Remembrance Day assemblies and talks at their schools during the week of November 5-9.

November 14 is Take Our Kids to Work Day. Grade 9s across Niagara Catholic will spend a day working with a parent, family member or family friend to experience a day in the life of the person they are shadowing. This allows students the opportunity to learn about the different career paths available to them.

November 16 is a Professional Activity Day for elementary and secondary students. Enjoy the long weekend!

On November 19, we will celebrate our artists in Grades 4 through 6 with our Celebrating Junior Artists gallery opening at the Catholic Education Centre. Students whose work has been selected to be displayed at the CEC and their families are invited to the gallery opening.

Secondary school open houses begin on November 20 and continue through November 29. Our Kindergarten Open House and Registration Day is November 21. Please click on the Open House and Registration Days slide on the main page of the website to get the dates and times of the open houses for your neighbourhood Catholic secondary school. If you can’t make it, our principals will be happy to welcome you to the school for a tour at a time that works for you. Registration is available online at any time through this website.
